چکیده

In this contribution, a hardware platform for cooperative sensing networks is presented with the use of Roy ́s Largest Root Test, also known as a blindly combined energy detection scheme, such that the system is configured with three ETTUS USRPs N210 and one computer for processing. The hardware experiments were validated with simulations, and the results show that the cooperative scheme outperforms the case when sensing is taken individually, keeping in mind that the number of samples collected is a key performance indicator.

Performance Analysis of Wireless Cooperative Networks with Iterative Incremental Relay Selection

In this paper, an iterative incremental relay selection (IIRS) scheme is considered for wireless cooperative networks in order to increase the reliability of transmission. Different from the conventional incremental relay selection which incrementally selects a best relay for only one iteration; the IIRS scheme iteratively applies the incremental relaying and relay selection processes. To evalu...

Spectrum Sensing Data Falsification Attack in Cognitive Radio Networks: An Analytical Model for Evaluation and Mitigation of Performance Degradation

Cognitive Radio (CR) networks enable dynamic spectrum access and can significantly improve spectral efficiency. Cooperative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) exploits the spatial diversity between CR users to increase sensing accuracy. However, in a realistic scenario, the trustworthy of CSS is vulnerable to Spectrum Sensing Data Falsification (SSDF) attack. In an SSDF attack, some malicious CR users deli...

Secure Collaborative Spectrum Sensing in the Presence of Primary User Emulation Attack in Cognitive Radio Networks

Collaborative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) is an effective approach to improve the detection performance in Cognitive Radio (CR) networks. Inherent characteristics of the CR have imposed some additional security threats to the networks. One of the common threats is Primary User Emulation Attack (PUEA). In PUEA, some malicious users try to imitate primary signal characteristics and defraud the CR user...

Kernel canonical correlation analysis for robust cooperative spectrum sensing in cognitive radio networks

Spectrum sensing is a key operation in Cognitive Radio (CR) systems, where secondary users (SUs) are able to exploit spectrum opportunities by first detecting the presence of primary users (PUs). In a CR network composed of several SUs, the detection accuracy can be much improved by cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) strategies, which exploit the spatial diversity among SUs. However, cooperativ...

ICST Transactions Preprint Cooperation Scheme For Distributed Spectrum Sensing In Cognitive Radio Networks

Spectrum sensing is an essential phase in cognitive radio networks (CRNs). It enables secondary users (SUs) to access licensed spectrum, which is temporarily not occupied by the primary users (PUs). The widely used scheme of spectrum sensing is cooperative sensing, in which an SU shares its sensing results with other SUs to improve the overall sensing performance, while maximizing its throughpu...
